What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
An Italian IT-trade piece (BitMAT, 28 October) arguing that the real challenge of PHP2Shell is skills: technical debt and legacy systems that few people understand, and a growing demand for software modernisation, application security, cloud reliability and technology-leadership profiles. It restates that both flaws score 9.2 on CVSS 4.0 and were patched on 21 October, that PHP runs about 70% of sites whose server-side language is known (per W3Techs), that PHP 8.1 and earlier are out of support but got minimal source backports for 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1, that PHP 8.2 security support ends on 31 December 2026, and that the flaws were found by researchers at Calif, Wiz and OpenAI, with AI tools contributing significantly to the research and to working exploits according to Wiz.
> Una patch chiude una vulnerabilità, ma non restituisce a un’azienda la conoscenza di come e perché un sistema è stato costruito.
_Curator's translation:_ "A patch closes a vulnerability, but it does not give a company back the knowledge of how and why a system was built."
