What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
CNN Business, 21 October: websites shut down globally after AI finds a cybersecurity flaw affecting 70% of the internet. The bugs, called PHP2Shell, could let attackers break into websites and read memory that could contain passwords. Like Heartbleed, Wiz's researchers say PHP2Shell could be a turning point; the flaws existed for years but AI made them practical to use; exploiting them involved a complex set of steps 'at the edge of what human researchers could practically achieve', and researchers then used AI to adapt the techniques and analyse the results. The PHP Foundation released a patch and the Cloudflare CEO said on X that millions of attempts had been seen in a couple of days.
> Like Heartbleed, the researchers at Wiz say PHP2Shell could similarly serve as a turning point in cybersecurity.
