What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
An Austrian newspaper's IT-security report (Der Standard), behind a consent and paywall wall: only the headline, standfirst and first paragraph are captured. They say that ahead of the publication of the critical PHP flaws numerous websites went completely offline for security reasons, including large hosters, and that in Austria many universities (among them the University of Vienna and TU Wien), media such as the NÖN and the Caritas did so; updates and details were now out, and the standfirst says practically all PHP servers can easily be taken over.
> Im Vorfeld der Veröffentlichung von kritischen Sicherheitslücken in der für Webanwendungen vielgenutzten Software PHP gingen zahlreiche Webseiten aus Sicherheitsgründen komplett offline
_Curator's translation:_ "Ahead of the publication of critical security holes in PHP, software widely used for web applications, numerous websites went completely offline for security reasons."
Why it is here
From the promotion queue (index/promote.json, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Viele Seiten offline: Extrem gefährliche PHP-Lücken sorgen für Chaos im Web, Updates laufen - IT-Security - derStandard.at › Web". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
Capture notes
Language de-AT. Behind a consent and subscription wall; only the teaser is readable, and the page's rights notice limits use to private personal use. The standfirst's claim that practically all PHP servers can easily be taken over is the newspaper's own characterisation and is not recorded as a finding. Nothing in the page addresses an AI or hides text from a reader.
