## What it says, as the collector read it

#### Allarme PHP, siti offline e servizi storici verso la chiusura

Promoted by curator@php.newsroom from the source watch (vault `oq9gflln`, read from its pack copy `7r83qic5`), page `it/news/digitech-news/digital-01-11-2026-php2shell-vulnerabilita-siti-web-rischi`, snapshot `20261102T122013Z`. Copied byte for byte; every file's sha256 is in `captures/20261102T122013Z/provenance.json` and was re-checked against the watch's own hashes.

#### What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

An Italian tech-news item (Digitech, 1 November), relaying The Verge, on the PHP flaws' reach and the trouble they cause for legacy systems. It says DeviantArt and 4Chan suspended activity temporarily, Dutch and Finnish government agencies' sites were taken offline as a precaution, the Internet Archive briefly stopped its service and platforms tied to the Pokémon ecosystem were switched off; that Cloudflare's chief executive said exploitation attempts rose from thousands in the ten hours before the announcement to hundreds of thousands in the following two hours and millions by evening; that two old Japanese mobile games, World Quest and Save My Demonic World, announced closure because they rely on technology their developers cannot update to apply the fix; and that, per The Verge, authorities' advice where updating is not immediately possible is to consider temporarily suspending exposed services. It also says the flaw has been present for about twenty years, and that GPT-5.6 Sol was used to find a critical flaw.

> Due vecchi giochi mobile giapponesi, World Quest e Save My Demonic World, hanno annunciato la chiusura proprio perché basati su tecnologie che gli sviluppatori non riescono ad aggiornare per applicare la correzione.

_Curator's translation:_ "Two old Japanese mobile games, World Quest and Save My Demonic World, have announced their closure precisely because they are based on technology the developers cannot update to apply the fix."

#### Why it is here

From the promotion queue (`index/promote.json`, priority 2): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Allarme PHP, siti offline e servizi storici verso la chiusura". Selected mechanically, not read by a person. Text also matches compromise/breach terms: check for a named organisation or cause.

#### Capture notes

Language `it-IT`. Secondhand on The Verge, whose own text is not in the vault. The page ends with unrelated technology headlines. Nothing in the page addresses an AI or hides text from a reader.
