What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

A Korean business-press analysis (Metro Seoul, 29 October) asking whether Korea is a target after the PHP flaws. It says attack attempts have continued worldwide, that industry reports no damage confirmed in Korea so far, that the Israeli research outfit Dream Research reported attacks aimed at 240 firewalls in Korea, the US, Japan and Taiwan and intrusion into administrator rights on about 25 US government servers, and that honeypots recorded attempts. It adds that, per the interior ministry's 2025 statistics, about 71% of 17,902 public-sector information systems use Java and only about 6% PHP, that small firms using PHP outside core systems are a worry, that the government raised the private-sector alert to 'caution' on 22 October and is considering emergency patch support for small firms, and that Korean security firms have released PHP2Shell check tools.

> 아직까지 국내에서 확인된 피해는 없다.

_Curator's translation:_ "So far no damage has been confirmed in Korea."

Why it is here

From the promotion queue (index/promote.json, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "AI가 앞당긴 해킹 시계…PHP 취약점에 한국도 표적 되나". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.

Capture notes

Language ko. The capture shows no publication date; the text says 29 October. The page ends with unrelated news snippets (housing, chips, a phone launch) and the article's lead image is noted as made with generative AI. The Dream Research figures are the outlet's relay of the research group's report; the breaking desk's own coverage of that report is in the vault (breaking-0005). Nothing in the page addresses an AI or hides text from a reader.
