#### What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

PC Gamer (English), 21 October, by Andy Edser, written the morning of the release. It says the PHP security team gave advance notice of two critical flaws each rated 9.2; that a video reportedly showing a tool called PHP2Shell executing code on web servers is circulating (via Ars Technica), so details seem to have leaked ahead of disclosure; that Sansec researchers say all web servers on PHP 5.4 or later are affected and expect mass attacks within 15 minutes of the release (due 14:00 UTC); that Cloudflare's CTO Dane Knecht said it was already updating firewall rules for early attacks, a stopgap only; and that watchTowr's CEO Benjamin Harris told BleepingComputer the two flaws had leaked from embargo and were 'CVSS10' and understood to affect PHP 5, 6, 7 and 8. Advice: inventory every PHP install, plan a maintenance window and back up.

> Researchers from cybersecurity firm Sansec say the vulnerabilities affect all web servers running PHP 5.4 or later, and that "we expect mass attacks to start within 15 minutes of the release."

#### Why it is here

From the promotion queue (`index/promote.json`, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "'We expect mass attacks to start within 15 minutes of the release': Web admins braced for emergency PHP updates to plug leaked high-severity holes | PC Gamer". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
