Sankei News (Japanese), 22 October, a PR TIMES press release by ALION Inc. launching an 'urgent PHP security fix support service' from ¥100,000 per case for companies whose WordPress or PHP systems were built by others (no maintenance contract, unknown PHP version, developer unreachable). The release recaps the two CVEs (9.2), the fixed versions, that WordPress and plugin updates are not enough, and that distributions and hosts may apply fixes to their own packages, so the version number alone should not be trusted; PHP 8.1 and earlier need a vendor fix or a move to a supported version. Promotional; it adds no new facts.
