#### What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

SC Media (English), 26 October, by Steve Zurier: 'PHP2Shell exploitation confirmed, but mass attacks remain elusive'. It says that as of the afternoon of 26 October there were credible weekend reports of exploitation in the wild but no known public reports of successful exploitation on a real victim and no widespread exploitation, and that major research groups walked back early fears: Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, in a 25 October blog, retracted its 23 October statement that an attack on a European government agency was related to a vulnerable PHP2Shell application, saying it could not confirm that initial access was tied to either bug; Sophos said on 26 October that PHP2Shell had not become the mass-exploitation event many expected; watchTowr's head of threat intelligence said reliable, indiscriminate exploitation was not happening. Suzu Labs' CTO relays Delft Threat Intelligence Lab figures (over 50,000 exploitation requests from over 600 addresses in 70 countries as of the morning of 26 October, 171 of them sending code or droppers), Perplexity's 35 working shells on unpatched PHP 8.4.26 under Apache mod_php (a deliberately favourable single-worker setup), and Trail of Bits' CEO describing a not-yet-public exploit as 'production-grade'. A Viakoo vice president expects a long tail. The page's other items are site chrome.

> Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 which, in an Oct. 25 blog, retracted an Oct. 23 statement that said that an attack against a European government agency was related to a vulnerable PHP2Shell application.
