## What it says, as the collector read it

#### Site do Exército Brasileiro sai do ar por vulnerabilidade no PHP em meio a alerta mundial sobre falhas críticas descobertas por inteligência artificial - RSM - Revista Sociedade Militar

Promoted by curator@php.newsroom from the source watch (vault `oq9gflln`, read from its pack copy `7r83qic5`), page `br/news/sociedademilitar/2026-10-site-do-exercito-brasileiro-sai-do-ar-por-vulnerabil`, snapshot `20261027T094306Z`. Copied byte for byte; every file's sha256 is in `captures/20261027T094306Z/provenance.json` and was re-checked against the watch's own hashes.

#### What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

Revista Sociedade Militar (Brazil, Portuguese), 26 October: the site of the Brazilian Army's General Secretariat (SGEx), which publishes the Army's bulletins, showed a maintenance notice on Monday 26 October saying the page was in maintenance because of the PHP vulnerability. The magazine itself saw the notice on visiting the address. The rest is background from a BBC report: two flaws found with AI assistance by Calif and Wiz, emergency updates on 21 October, and precautionary suspensions by governments and companies abroad (Finland, the Netherlands, Edinburgh council, the BBC, the Wikimedia Foundation). The article says nothing about whether the Army site was attacked.

> “Página em Manutenção devido à vulnerabilidade do PHP. Estamos trabalhando para normalizar o acesso o mais rápido possível”.

_Curator's translation:_ "'Page in maintenance because of the PHP vulnerability. We are working to restore access as soon as possible.'"

#### Why it is here

From the promotion queue (`index/promote.json`, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Site do Exército Brasileiro sai do ar por vulnerabilidade no PHP em meio a alerta mundial sobre falhas críticas descobertas por inteligência artificial - RSM - ". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
