What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
Solutions Numériques (French), 26 October: behind the urgency of the PHP2Shell fixes, the fragility of web maintenance. Drawing on the PHP Foundation's account, it says that two years earlier, after a Quarkslab security audit, a developer working for the PHP Foundation had identified the first signs of the memory-handling problem later tied to CVE-2026-109618, that several fixes were studied but each had difficulties (possible incompatibilities, risk of new faults, changes needed across many extensions), that discussions dragged on in a team where only a few developers mastered the mechanisms involved, and that it took work by Calif and OpenAI in August 2026 to show that remote code execution was possible. It then asks who maintains the components the web depends on and with what means, and how companies can patch without interrupting their business.
> Deux ans plus tôt, à la suite d’un audit de sécurité réalisé par Quarkslab, un développeur travaillant pour la PHP Foundation avait identifié les premiers signes d’un problème de gestion de la mémoire, qui sera plus tard associé à CVE-2026-109618.
