Südostschweiz (Switzerland, German), 21 October: 'PHP security hole: worldwide cyber alarm, Swiss websites offline too'. It says Huntress, the federal CERT and the PHP security team warn about the two flaws, that information on them leaked before the planned release so experts fear a wave of automated attacks, and that first municipalities, authorities, universities and hospitals switched their online offers off as a precaution, with the University of Basel's website unreachable at the time. Fixed versions have been available since 21 October; ordinary users have no immediate action since the flaws are on servers.
