Bisnis Tekno (Indonesia), 23 October, by Bisnis.com: Komdigi (the Ministry of Communication and Digital) asked users of National Data Center (PDN) 1 to update PHP after the PHP2Shell flaws; the cyber-security researcher Pratama Persadha (CISSReC) says that is right but late, and should not stop at a voluntary appeal, since the ministry's letter takes the form of a letter and not an obligation with a deadline and verification. He cites Censys data at announcement showing about 1.5 million of 2.6 million PHP hosts on the internet unpatched, and welcomes that the letter names the safe versions, prioritises internet-facing public servers and allows temporarily switching off services that cannot be patched.
