What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
VOI (Indonesia, Indonesian), 23 October: Indonesian cyber-security commentator Alfons Tanujaya says PHP2Shell could let attackers take over servers without an account or password and that temporarily switching services off can prevent wider harm. He calls the find a historic event, the first time frontier AI uncovered a critical flaw hidden for over ten years in PHP's core. The article summarises the discovery (Calif through its Patch the Planet initiative, OpenAI independently, Wiz finding further paths), AWS's honeypot attempt on 17 October, the 20 October leak that brought the planned 22 October release forward to 21 October, and the two CVEs at 9.2. It explains why services are taken down: the time to exploit versus the weeks or months a system owner may need to update and test. Commentary, no new facts.
> "Jadi ini memang pilihan pahit yang harus diambil dan take down ini masih lebih baik daripada sistemnya berhasil disusupi atau diambil alih oleh peretas," pungkasnya.
_Curator's translation:_ "'So this really is a bitter choice that has to be made, and taking down is still better than having the system infiltrated or taken over by hackers,' he concluded."
Why it is here
From the promotion queue (index/promote.json, priority 2): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Pakar Ungkap Bahaya PHP2Shell, Peretas Bisa Ambil Alih Sistem Tanpa Login". Selected mechanically, not read by a person. Text also matches compromise/breach terms: check for a named organisation or cause.
