## What it says, as the collector read it

#### Kritische PHP-Sicherheitslücke: Millionen Webseiten potenziell gefährdet - VOL.AT

Promoted by curator@php.newsroom from the source watch (vault `oq9gflln`, read from its pack copy `7r83qic5`), page `at/news/vol/sicherheitsalarm-im-internet-diese-gefahr-steckt-hinter-php2`, snapshot `20261023T160435Z`. Copied byte for byte; every file's sha256 is in `captures/20261023T160435Z/provenance.json` and was re-checked against the watch's own hashes.

#### What the page says

_Curator's reading of the capture._

VOL.AT (Vorarlberg, Austria, German), 22 October: an APA/dpa piece, edited by Karoline Kuca, with the same text as the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Neue Westfälische items (sueddeutsche-wirtschaft-php-sicherheitsluecke-2026-ph, nw-nachrichten-zwischen-weser-und-rhein-244): two critical PHP flaws let criminals run their own code on servers remotely, authorities and IT-security experts class the situation an extraordinary emergency because the details leaked unintentionally, many site operators took sites offline as a precaution and many were back online once updates were applied; an indirect risk to personal data on unprotected sites. No new facts.

> Inzwischen sind aber viele Websites wieder online, nachdem die Betreiber die Updates eingespielt hatten.

_Curator's translation:_ "Meanwhile, though, many websites are back online after their operators applied the updates."

#### Why it is here

From the promotion queue (`index/promote.json`, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Kritische PHP-Sicherheitslücke: Millionen Webseiten potenziell gefährdet - VOL.AT". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
